Lino Fiorito began in the theatre by collaborating with Mario Martone at the foundation of Falso Movimento at the end of the seventies. His work was immediately influenced by the creative fervour of those years and by the mobility of the theatrical 'happenings' in the so called "alternative spaces". The originality of the "screening" prevailed on the construction of the scene and the sketches produced by Fiorito were often projected behind the actors and were even used as backdrops. The sketches were produced rapidly during the rehearsal in harmony with the director's and the actors' work, later the sketches will find suitable and original technical solutions for the achievement of the scenes and costumes.
From the fusion of Falso Movimento with Teatro dei Movimenti and Teatro Studio of Caserta in 1986 arose Teatri Nuovi, a theatrical project that attempted to combine the theatrical tradition with a more marked experimentation of a new spectacularity. Lino Fiorito found new inspiration when collaborating with Toni Servillo and Andrea Renzi as well as with Mario Martone. In the following years he began working in the cinema with Tonino de Bernardi, Paolo Sorrentino and Antonio Capuano and this heightened his passion for the theatre.
